🔺Proposals, Voting & Delegation

The core of the Illuminati DAO is its members. We exist to uplift our members by giving them control over the direction of the DAO, how the treasury is spent, and the direction of specific initiatives as well as access to grant funding to bring their ideas to life while making a positive impact on Web3.

If you have a great idea for the DAO you can submit it to be voted on by the community. There is a five-stage process to bring proposals to a vote:

1. Proposals can be submitted through our proposal bot in the #DAO-Proposal channel in Discord.

2. The DAO Council will review proposals for completeness, to ensure they are permitted within our by-laws, and are lawful.

3. The proposal is posted for community review and feedback in the #discussions channel in Discord.

4. The proposal is posted on Upstream for off-chain voting.

5. The proposal is executed, funds are released to their intended destination to implement the proposal.

Proposals that are distributions of funds to an individual or nonprofit organization for support of a specific project or program that aligns with the mission may be considered grants and subject to additional requirements.

The Executive Director, DAO Council, Truth Labs Team, and other individuals & organizations who have hold roles or have a close relationship with the DAO are welcome to submit proposals but may be ineligible to receive grant funding.

If you are submitting a proposal and have a direct or indirect financial interest or a fiduciary responsibility to another organization that is the subject of that proposal, you may have a conflict of interest that you must disclose per our policy.
